<br />APPENDIX D <br />SUMMARY OF CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS <br />for the <br />PROPOSED FISH PASSAGE AT GRAND VALLEY <br />IRRIGATION COMPANY DIVERSION DAM <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) Responsibilities <br /> <br />. Secure all land interest necessary for construction and access. <br />. Administer construction documents to construct the passage improvements, <br />. Provide flow enhancement, as needed, to operate the passage improvements while <br />allowing GVIC to maintain their diversion rights. <br />. Provide GVIC access across the fish passageway notch to operate and maintain the <br />diversion dam. <br />. Notify GVIC whenever access to the site is necessary. <br /> <br />Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) Responsibilities <br /> <br />. Through the Recovery Program, arrange/provide funding for long term operation and <br />maintenance of the fish passage and, if needed, for fish screens on the GVIC Canal <br />inlet. <br />. Through the Recovery Program, monitor fish use of the passage at the diversion dam. <br />. Cooperate with GVIC in all operations. Provide GVIC access across the fish passage <br />notch to operate and maintain the dam. <br />. Notify GVIC whenever access to the site is necessary. <br /> <br />Grand Valley Irrigation Company (GVIC) Responsibilities <br /> <br />. Convey a land interest to Reclamation for the purposes of construction of the riffle and , <br />pool fish passage facilities and access to the rip rap for maintenance. <br />. If desired, be responsible for construction, operation, and maintenance of the fish <br />passage improvements with funding from the RIP and the Service or a trust. <br />. Be responsible for placing stop logs in passageway notch if needed to obtain their full <br />water rights. <br />. Be responsible for operation, and maintenance of fish screens, if needed, with funding <br />from the Service or a trust. <br />. Allow limited access to observe the operation of the passageway. <br /> <br />Recovery Implementation Program (RIP) Responsibilities <br /> <br />. Provide funding for construction of the fish passageway. <br /> <br />D-I <br />
