Present Econom i c Cond i t ions <br /> <br />Traditionally, livestock and crop production have been relatively close <br />in their importance to agriculture. But in recent years, crop production <br />and exports have become increasingly more significant in the agricultural <br />sector. Hogs, poultry and dairy operations are of 1 ittle regional <br />importance. <br /> <br />1. Agricultural Production <br /> <br />Potatoes are the most important cultivated crop, surpassing <br />the combined value of all other cultivated crops. Barley, <br />hay, and vegetables rank second, third, and fourth respec- <br />tively in dollar income.
