,

.

.

report, the staged, escalated schedule of
expenditures, the total investment cost, the annual
amortization requirement, the annual cost of operations
and maintenance, and an average annual cost for
replacement computed as of the on-line date of a
project.

The "total annual cost" of the project will be
calculated as the algebraic sum of the annual
amortization requirement plus the annual costs of
operations, maintenance and replacement less interest
earned on the reserve fund (at twelve percent per
year). This annual figure will also be expressed in
1982 dollars.

3. Cost Per Acre-Foot of Yield

For the Hardin, Una and Yellow Jacket studies, the annual
cost per acre-foot of yield will be calculated by dividing the
total annual cost (as defined above) by the annual yield of the
project (expressed as firm yield or yield at a specified level of
reliabililty depending upon the study involved ).Thecost per
acre-foot of yield will be calculated for both of the preceding
financing approaches and will be expressed both in inflated
dollars as of the assumed on-line date of the project as well as
in constant January, 1982 dollars.

weg:dm

-3-
