The results of these operation case studies are displayed graphically

in Figures 1 and 2. To aid in ,the interpretation of these figures, Tables

8 and 9 show an assembly of the significant characteristics of the case

studies shown in Figures 1 and 2, respectively.

All three operation curves of Figure 1 were based upon input Assump-

tion A. The difference between the three cases was li~~ted to one aspect--

the initial reservoir content.

Operation curve 1 of Figure 1 assumes the highest initial pool content

that is still feasible under the assumed refill pattern, A higher level would

result in,a content exceeding 24,000 acre-feet by the end of August 1953 which

would be lost due to the operational policy of the reservoir. The lower limit

set by the contract is never violated by this operation. The average annual

evaporation loss is 3,190 acre-feet, and by the end of the study period a

952 acre-feet of storage reduction is realized.

Operation curve 2 of Figure 1 begins operation with an initial content
of 20,900 acre-feet or 2,440 acre-feet below that of the first case. This
