UPPER BASIN RESERVOIRS

FONTENELLE RESERVOIR
(GREEN RIVER)

Water Year 1994

Fontenelle Reservoir began water year 1994 with an
elevation of 1981.7 meters (6501.8 feet) with 385 million
cubic meters (312,000 acre-feet) of live storage (90 percent
of capacity).

The Upper Green River Basin continued to be the driest
portion of the Colorado River Basin. The April through July
runoff into the reservoir during water year 1994 was only 512
million cubic meters (415,000 million acre-feel) or 49 percent
o[ the long-term average. As. result of restrained releases
during most of 1994, Fontenelle Reservoir reached 80
percent of capacity in July, in spite of low inflows.

ACTlJAL RELEASES 1894

---
....

- ..",.....
u.

....... -... .....
.....
