<br />At tbe beginning of water year 1994, the water surface
<br />elevation of Lake Mobave, which is impounded by Daw.
<br />Dam, was 193.1 meters (63337 feet), with an active storage
<br />of approxi..Dately 1,781 million cubic meters (1,444,000
<br />acre-feet).
<br />
<br />The water surface elevation of Lake Mohave rose to 195.1
<br />meters (640.2 feet) witb a surface content of 1,988 million
<br />cubic meters (1,612,000 acre feet) by the end of December
<br />1993. The water surface elevation continued to rise through
<br />the end of May 1994, to an elevation of 196.8 meters (645.63
<br />feet) witb 2,186 million cubic meters (1,m,000 acre-feet) in
<br />active storage. Tbe water level of Lake Mobave was
<br />regulated as needed between elevation 196.6 meters (645.0
<br />feet) and 192,0 meters (630.0 feet) during the remainder of
<br />tbe water year. The reservoir eoded the water year at an
<br />elevation of 193.4 meters (634.38 feet), witb 1,813 million
<br />cubic meters (1,470,000 acre-feet) in active storage.

<br />Lake Mohave releases were made for downstream water use
<br />requirements, including diversions by users in the vicinities
<br />of Laughlin, Nevada; Bullhead City, Arizona; and l'>ieedles,
<br />California, by The Metropolitan Water District of Southern
<br />California (MWD), the Central Arizona Project (CAP), and
<br />the users downstream from Parker Dam. During the water
<br />year, total releases of approximately 11,047 million cubic
<br />meters (8,956,000 acre-feet) were made at Daw. Dam, all of
<br />which passed through the turbines for power production. Of
<br />that amount, approximately 1,li(1l million cubic meters
<br />(1,298,000 acre.feet) were tben pumped from Lake Havasu
<br />by MWD, and 957 million cubic meters (n6,ooo acre-feet)
<br />were pumped for tbe CAP.
