The Committee has reviewed and accepted t~o re- <br />ports from such Subcommittee. The Subcommittee consists of Royce J. Tipton, <br />Consulting Engineer, Colorado Water Conservation Board, Chairman; Frank C. <br />Merriell, Secretary-Engineer, Colorado River \{ater Conservation District Board, <br />Grand Junction, Colorado; R. M. Gildersleeve, Chief Engine0r, Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; C. H. Jex, Area Engineer, Bureau of ReclamQtion, Grand <br />Junction, Colorado; Ben F. Powell, Area Engineer, Bureau of ReClamation, <br />~~eblo, Colorado; and J. R. Riter, Head of Division of Hydrology, Branch of <br />Project Planning of the Bureau of Reclamation, Denver, Colorado. <br /> <br />;,; <br /> <br />The Policy and Review Committee was organized and held its first <br />meEting on Nov~mb~r 24, 19u8. It has met on the ~verage of once every sixty <br />days since its work was started. Stone, Chainnan of Lh<l COffi.'11ittee, transmitted to Avery A. BRtson, <br />Director of Region 7, BureRu of Reclamation, a. letter marked "Exhibit A," <br />which is made a part of this report. A revi0v of this letter will indicate <br />thnt the Cou;mi ttee had re1lched cert1lin tentative conclusions when the letter <br />was written. The letter was transmitted to the Regional Office of the Bureau <br />of Recllllllation in order to enable that office to revise its report in keeping <br />with the views and recomnend1ltions contained in the letter. It was pointed out <br />that certnin questions ",ffocting project operA.tion "nd the principles which. <br />carried out the: policies of the State respecting thE- exportation of water from <br />the naturA.l basin of th~ Colorado River in Colorado, remained to be fonnulated <br />and considered by the Policy .-md l1evie...- Committee; and it "R5 explained that <br />such policies ,md principles would be submitt<ld to the Bureau in due course. <br /> <br />^ <br /> <br />At the January m",,,t"ing of tho Committ8e, a Drafting Subcommittee W'lS <br />appointed, consisting of Jean S.
