CALIFORNIA 92251 <br /> <br />September 21,1981 <br /> <br />w <br />W <br />tv <br />f-4 <br /> <br />Executive Director <br />Colorado River Basin Salinity <br />Control Forum <br />c/o Colorado River Board <br />107 South Broadway, Room 8103 <br />Los Angeles, CA 90012 <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Imperial Irrigation District, being one of the major beneficiaries <br />of salinity control and being subject to damages due to adverse <br />effects of salinity, is in full support of the Colorado River Basin <br />Salinity Control Forum in its efforts to control salinity in the <br />Lower Colorado River region. <br /> <br />The projects which are designed to maintain the numeric salinity <br />criteria in the Lower Colorado River should be carried out expe- <br />diently to fulfill these objectives, as provided under the Clean <br />Water Act of 1977 (PL 92-500 as amended by PL 95-217), since they <br />were authorized for implementation by Title II provisions of <br />PL 92-320. <br /> <br />To summarize, we have examined the "Proposed Report on the 1981 <br />Review - Water Quality Standards for Salinity Colorado River <br />System" and agree with its content.
