<br />. <br /> <br />REMARKS <br /> <br />The North Fork Water Conservancy District was formed in 1941 l!.l'\d <br />on June 11, 1948, entered into a contract with the United States' <br />for repayment of the costs of the Paonia Project. Constructi~n' <br />of the Project was then initiated and the principal work on eniargf:l- <br />ment of the Fire Mountain Canal was completeq. in 1951. An am~nda- <br />tory repayment contract between the conservancy district and thli <br />, United States was executed on August 21, 1957, in conformanoe with <br />reauthorization under Public Law 485 and changes in the project plan <br />subsequent to the original repayment contract. The contract work for <br />the dam and relocation of the highway is now underway and work on <br />the Fire Mountain Canal extension will be started this fiscal year. <br />The project is scheduled for completion in fiscal year 1962. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-22 a- <br />
