<br />COLORADO RIVER STORAGE PROJECT <br />TRANSMISSION DIVISION <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />LOCATION: The Transmission Division facilities will be located <br />within the states of the Upper Colorado River Sasin-- <br />Arizona, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming. <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION: Public Law 485, 84th Congress, 2nd Session (70 Stat. <br />109), approved Aprilll, 1956; and Public Law 65-529 <br />(74 Stat. 225), approved June 27, 1960. <br /> <br />PLAN" <br />-, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The purpose of the Transmission Division is to deliver Colpral:lo <br />River Storage Project power to major load centers or to del~very <br />pOints from which other agencies may transmit the power tp load <br />centers, and to interconnect the generating plants of the Colorado <br />River Storage Project with each other and with other Feder~l projects. <br />A plan for an all-Federal transmission system to accomplish such <br />purpose was announced by the Secretary of the Interior on May 18, <br />1960, as a yardstick system for rate-making purposes and to evalu- <br />ate proposals to wheel project power over utility lines.
