~'\V

",)

o
0)
~
"".;

Potential Changes in the Project Plan

As a result of suggestions made by the Bureau of ReclamationJ
discussion with the Pot Hook and Little Snake Water Conservancy Districts,
the State of Colorado, and the fish and wildlife interests~ the final plan
may result in some departures from the material previously presented. The
changes are as follows:

1. The project services area will be reduced by 3,250 acres of
full service State and Federal land.
a. This will include 2,860 acres in Colorado and 390 acres in
Wyoming.

2. The development of the new (6) farm units will be eliminated
from the project plan.

3. Project costs; the capacity of Pot Hook Reservoir, the capacity
of the Pot Hook Cana~ and the distribution systems will be reduced.

4. The depletion and salinity contribution to the Colorado River
will be reduced.

5. With the reduction of service to new lands, the projects'
impact on critical big game wintering area will also be reduced.

6. In Colorado, project costs include the installation of deer
or elk proof hay storage areas.

7. Easements on a willing to sell basis, only, will be provided
along about seven miles of the Little Snake River in Colorado downstream
from Baggs, Wyoming..
