Board Meeting--. <br />Ridges Basin Dam, Animas-La Plata Project, Cost- <br />Sharing Agreement <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />The June 30; 1986, Binding Agreement for Animas-La Plata <br />Project Cost-Sharing specifies that the State shall provide two <br />different sums for construction of the project's phase 1 <br />facilities: <br /> <br />(1) $30 million to be contributed by the Colorado Water <br />Resources and Power Development Authority, and <br /> <br />(2) $5.6 million for Ridges Basin Dam, the project's <br />principal facility. which sum "shall be provided on a <br />schedule acceptable to Colorado and the Secretary [of <br />the Interior] beginning in the first year of <br />construction of said dam." <br /> <br />The money to be provided by the Authority is coming from <br />appropriations which were previously made to it. However, <br />further action was required by the General Assembly in order to <br />provide the $5.6 million. <br /> <br />That action has been taken in the current session with the <br />passage of S.B. 142. Section 2 thereof has amended section <br />37-60-121, CRS, to add a new subsection which reads as follows: <br /> <br />9991E <br />
