Colorado and <br />along the headwaters of the Uncompahgre River and its tri- <br />butaries in ~ntrose and Ouray Counties. <br /> <br />The nulti..purpose project would provide storage for flood control. <br />recreation. fishery. water quality control. municipal water and the <br />irrigation of 13.720 acres of supplemental service land and 14.920 <br />acres of full service lands. Principle features of the project are: <br />Dallas leeder Canal. which collects the surplus flows of the tri- <br />butaries of Dallas Creek for storage in the potential Dallas Divide' <br />Reservoir. Log Hill Mesa Canal, to convey water from Dallas Divide <br />Reservoir to project lands on Upper Log Hill Mesa. Ridgway Reservoir. <br />near the intersection of the Uncompahgre River and Dallas Creek to <br />provide storage for flood control. municipal water, and irrigation <br />water to be pumped to Lower Log Hill Mesa and distributed by the <br />McKenzie Canal. Cow Creek Feeder 'WOuld be constructed from Cow <br />Creek to Ridgway Reservoir to provide the reservoir with an 4dditional <br />source of water; Sneva Reservoir. an off-stream site between Cow <br />Creek and Dry Creek.
