Date <br />",-/., ""? <br />.,. ! ,~- - <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Ingles: <br /> <br />This is in response to your request of March 18, 1974, for comments on the <br />Draft Environmental Statement for the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project in Colorado. <br />The Advisory Council has reviewed this document and has found (page VIII-3) <br />that the Bureau of Reclamation has determined that the project will adversely <br />affect many archeological sites and that the Bureau "will continue to consult <br />with the Advisory Council . . . on the nonrenewable historical resources <br />which may be inundated or destroyed. . . ." <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Therefore the Bureau is required to comply with Section 800.4(e) of "The <br />Procedures for the Protection of Historic and Cultural Properties," (36 CFR, <br />part 800).
