If and when it is developed, a compre- <br />hensive environmental assessment, including economic geology, will <br />be made of the area. <br /> <br />Additional data have been included in the Economic Geology Section, <br />as requested in Chapter III, Section A3e of the Final Environmental <br />Statement. Details have been included in the statement to locate <br />Project features relative to the varioUs mineralized zones of the <br />"Colorado Mineral Belt." Results of preconstruct ion geologic <br />investigations, which verify the absence of commercially develop- <br />able ore deposits, have been referenced in~he final statement. <br /> <br />The Bureau of Land Management has been checking tho validity of <br />unpatented mining claims in conflict with the Fryingpan-Arkansas <br />Project. The status of this investigation is shown in the attached <br />memorandum. Several of these claims have 'been declared null and <br />void because there were no valuable ore deposits within the limits <br />of the claims.
