<br />""nS1'l <br />I) iJ!J ..k~ <br /> <br />APPENDIX A - WATER QUALITY STANDARDS <br /> <br />IOWA WATER POLLUTION CONTROL COMMISSION <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />WATER QUALITY STANDARDS <br /> <br />Pursuant to authority of Chapter 375, section 9 and section 13, Acts <br />of the 61st Ge neral Assembly, the following water quality and <br />effluent standards are hereby adopted, <br /> <br />Section 1. Water quality standard relating to floatable and settle- <br />able solids, The waters of the state shall be kept free of float- <br />able and settleable solids as hereinafter provided. <br /> <br />1.1 Municipal effluent standard, No municipality shall discharge <br />any sewage to the waters of the state without effective <br />removal of floatable and settleable solids as the minimum <br />degree of treatment, <br /> <br />These rules are intended to implement Chapter 375, section 9 and <br />section 13, Acts of the 61st General Assembly, <br /> <br />These rules shall become effective as provided in Chapter 17A of the <br />Code after filing in the office of the Secretary of State after review <br />by the Departmental Rules Review Committee, <br /> <br />Isl R, J, Schliekelman <br />R.
