The director of the <br />pollution control division also serves as technical secretary <br />to the new Water Pollution Control Commission, <br /> <br />Pro~rams and Activities: The Water Supply Division <br />reviews detailed plans for public water supply improvements <br />and inspects public water supplies, Samples are taken and <br />analyzed by departmental laboratories on a routine basis, <br /> <br />The Pollution Control Division supervises all <br />municipal and other public sewage systems, Plans for all <br />industrial waste water treatment systems are reviewed, and <br />inadequate facilities are investigated, Applications to the <br />Water Pollution Control Commission are processed by this <br />division with recommendations to the Commission, <br /> <br />The department participates in training and <br />certification of operators for both water and sewage treat- <br />ment plants, <br /> <br />d, Iowa Water Pollution Control Commission <br /> <br />Authority: This Commission was created in 1965 with <br />the power and duty to supervise the administration and <br />
