Water Year 1994

Under most probable inflow conditions during \be 1994
water year, the Lake Mead water level is expected to be
drawn down to elevation 361.1 meters (1184.8 feet) at the
end of June 1994. At that level, the lake will have an active
storage approximately 25,700 million cubic meters
(20,800,000 acre-feet). During water year 1994, a total of
approximately 10.5 billion cubic meters (8.5 million acre-
feet) is scheduled to be released from Lake Mead under
most probable conditions, all passing through the
powerplant.

The outlook for lowest and highest monthly releases of 1994
will be about 580 million cubic meters (470,000 acre-feet)
and 1,172 Illillion cubic meters (950,000 acre-feet),
respectively. Orawdown during the peak large mouth bass
. spawning period in April and May, is planned to be near the
limits of decline recommended in a July 1982 final report by
the Arizona Game and Fish Department and the Nevada
Department of Wildlife. That report summarized results of
a 5-year study and recommended a drawdown rate of less
than 5 centimeters (2 inches) per day.

ACTUAL STORAGE 1893

"WON CUBIC IIETUI
00

MILLION ACR&.n:ET

.

.
.
.
-- .
1

..

.

3D

.

..

.

'0

.

1'1 12
'cf' ~o~ .,.CI ).f ~ .". .,. +~ ~+ ~" ~ "

16

MOST PROBABLE RElEASES 1994

IIIWQN cuatC I1II1"U8
1100

niOUlAJlD ACRWUT

.,.

,
.--- I
-- 1'\
/
-.... 7
r\ / '-
.
.

'200

72

100

.1

100

II

..

-

o 0
~ #~ .,.CI ~+ ~ .". .,. .~ ? j' ~ "

MOST PROBABLE REGULATED INFLOW 1994

M1WOIf CUM: IIII1TV'1
'BOO

_D --....,.
13"

BOO

...- '" / \
II '\ /

,-

1154

,...

...

'000

...

...

100

...

- -
;P;4-c,~~~,f'+~ ;~"

MOST PROBABLE STORAGE 1994

IlII.UON CUIIIC 1IET'U11
..
