POTENTIAL IMPACTS TO RESERVOIR ENLARGEMENT

Potential impacts due to the enlargement of Lake Meredith will require the
acquisition of up to 4,700 acres of private, state and federal lands, the potential
relocation of up to nine existing structures and relocation of7or improvements to two
(2) sewage lagoons, A great majority of the land take requirements consists of
agricultural and undeveloped land, The impacts to the two (2) sewage lagoons
should be further studied. Further investigations will be required to assess the extent
of wetland mitigation required and utility relocation and conflicts, At this time, we
have found no fatal flaws and the impacts reviewed above should be able to be
reasonably addressed, The following activities should be considered to further
evaluate impacts of this project,

. Conduct public meetings to inform interested parties of the plans to enlarge
Lake Meredith Reservoir.
. Obtain accurate ownership maps to determine anticipated land takes and costs,
. Identify major utility conflicts that need to be relocated,
. Identify wetlands and 404 permit requirements and meet with the Corp of
Engineers to discuss plan of action and to follow up with preliminary findings
of such action,
. Conduct a preliminary environmental assessment to more fully review and
address potential impacts and mitigation requirements.

URS Greiner

Page 10
