<br /> <br />Economy <br /> <br />The leading industry of the Price River <br />Basin is coal mining, Through the 1960s and <br />early 1970s, coal mining and population <br />declined. As a result of the recent "energy <br />crisis," utilization of coal reserves has <br />increased. Continued population growth is <br />expected. <br /> <br />Farming is the second most important <br />industry in the basin. As shown in Table <br />2.3, agriculture is principally for livestock <br />production.
