I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I fHl082S CHAPTER II ORGANIZATION OP STUDY The Missouri River Basin Commission will have responsibility for the conduct, supervision, and management of the study. Funding will be through the U.S. Water Resources Council directly to the Missouri River Basin Commission. MRBC will have responsibility for funding of the study efforts. Figure 2 is the organization chart for the study. Study Direction A study director, under the administrative supervision and direction of the Missouri River Basin Commission staff director, will be responsible for management of the study. This responsibility includes developnent of the plan of study, budgets, and schedules for work group completion, coordination of study efforts, and preparation of reports. The study director's staff is expected to include three professional assistants and supporting clerical help. Management Group The Chairman of the Missouri River Basin Commission has appointed a management group composed of Commission members or their representatives from the Departments of the Interior, the Army, and Agriculture, and the States of Colorado and Missouri. To assist in coordination of the 10 States, the Commission Vice Chairman serves as an elO-officio member of the management group. This one management group member will change with the rotation of the vice chairmanship. Other State members were selected to provide a geographical representation in the basin. The study director will serve as chairman of the management group. The management group is responsible for providing assistance in developing study direction, resolving issues, and providing guidance to the study director in study coordination and in preparing budgets, schedules, and reports. -13-
