Barnett, Executive Director
I
SUBJECT: USBR PROJECTS - LaVerkin Springs Unit

DATE: February 14, 1984

At the next Work Group ,meeting the USBR will be prepared
to explain why they feel LaVerkin Sprin2s does liim appear to
be cost effective. To prepare you for that discussion, and to
help me be responsive to a letter I recently received from
Bill Plummer, I am enclosing a portion of their draft report.
The complete report, is about 1 1/2 inches thick. I will have
the entire document with me in Santa Fe if anyone needs infor-
mation from the remaining appendices.

As you can see from the letter I received from Mr.
Plummer, the region would like comments by March 9 so that a
decision on the continuation of planning studies can be made.

002593
