The Colorado RiverBoard'sbudget for Fiscal Year 2003-2004 <br />is $1,067,000 versus last year's budget of$l, I 33,000, The State's General Fund will provide $192,000, A <br />the California Environmental License Plate Fund will provide $14,000, and the Six Agency Committee$ <br />will provide the remaining $861,000, <br /> <br />AGENCY MANAGERS MEETING <br /> <br />The Agency Managers have not met since the last Board meeting, <br /> <br />PROTECTION OF EXISTING RIGHTS <br /> <br />Colorado River Water ReDort <br /> <br />As of June 1,2003, storage in the major Upper Basin reservoirs decreased by 849,000 acre-feet <br />and storage in the Lower Basin reservoirs increased by 463,000 acre-feet during May, Total System ~ <br />active storage as of June 51h was 35.493 minion acre-feet (maf) or 60 percent of capacity, which is \1 <br />5,865 mafless than one year ago, <br /> <br />May releases from Hoover, Davis, and Parker Dams averaged 16,540, 15,530 and 11,550 cubic <br />feet per second (cfs), respectively, Planned releases from those three dams for the month of June 2003 <br />are 16,500, 15,900, and 13,000 cfs, respectively, The June releases represent those needed to meet <br />downstream water requirements including those caused by reduced operation of Senator Wash reservoir. <br /> <br />The final June 5, 2003, projected April through July 2003 unregulated inflow into Lake Powell <br />was 4.000 maf, which is 50 percent ofthe 30-year average for the period 1961-1990. The finaIJune 5, <br />2003. projected unregulated inflow into Lake Powell for the 2003-04 water year was 6.678 maf, or <br />56 percent of the 30-year average, <br /> <br />( <br />I"~ <br />\.l- . <br />. '''J~ <br />II <br /> <br />The Lower Division States' consumptive use of Colorado River water for calendar year 2003, <br />as calculated by Board staff, totals 7.837 maf and is distributed as follows: Arizona, 2.971 maf; <br />California, 4.555 maf; and Nevada, 0.311 maf. Unmeasured return flow credits of 0,264 maf would <br />reduce the total amount of projected consumptive use to 7.573 mar. For calendar year 2003, it is <br />estimated the Central Arizona Project (CAP) will divert 1,594 maf, of which 0.273 mafis to be credited <br />
