Note: To compute the aver. duration that a given Dow is exceeded, multiply the percent days times 24
hours per day IJId then divide by the percent hours.

When the percent of days and hours are equal for a given alternative and Dow, it means that Dow
would be exceeded aD day (i.e. 24 hours).

Occasional flows between 20,000 and 25,000 cfs may cause minor amounts of
localized beach building and provide water to riparian vegetation. A 3.5
percentage-point increase in the number of hours when 20,000 cfs would be
exceeded would not conflict with the purposes of the 30,000-cfs habitat
maintenance flow. This is because the habitat maintenance flows would be
scheduled during minimum release years when 20,000 cfs would be exceeded 2.6
percent of the hours, and 22,000 cfs would be exceeded 1.1 percent of the
hours.
