The evaluation process considered each plan on a <br />l\j <br />l\j technical, economic, social/environmental, and institutional basis, and <br />c,:; <br /><0 seven were identified as feasible replacement source alternatives. <br /> <br />They included (1) canal lining, (2) desalting ocean water, (3) a <br />desalting plant in the Imperial Valley, (4) geothermal resource develop- <br />ment, (5) ground-water withdrawal, (6) ground-water pumping along <br />the All-American Canal, and (7) high recovery at the Yuma Desalting <br /> <br />Plant.
