<br />The Amity Mutual Irrigation Company <br /> <br />1457 <br /> <br />Thl.~ report of Ule Assessment Committee was: <br /> <br />"We, the Committee on Assessments, do recommend the <br />levy immediately of the following assessment: <br /> <br />^n assessment of $3.00 per share, payable as follows: <br />$1..50 clue April 1, 1972 and deJinqu('nt May 1, 1972; $1.50 due September <br />1,1972 and delinquent October 1, 1972. <br /> <br />This committee recommends the passing of the following <br /> <br />resolution: <br /> <br />"BE IT ITESOLVED. that the Stockholders authorize the <br />Board of Directors to borrow from the Wichita Bank for Cooperatives, or <br />any other bank, funds necessary to take caTe of any major damage or <br />emergencies on the ditches or structures of the system caused by floods, <br />or for any other reason unforeseen to us, you, the committee and the <br />stockholders. " <br />Special assessment on equipment purchase: Speclal assess- <br />ment of $1.00 per share; $.50 due April I, 1972 and delinquent May I, <br />1972; $.50 due September I, 1972 and delinquent October I, 1972, <br /> <br />Mter much discussion on this, George Reyher amended the motion on <br />Special assessments to S..SO to take care of equipment purchases due <br />April 1, 1972 and delinquent May 1, 1972. Bill Norton seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Resolution Committee reported as follows: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />"BE IT RESOLVED, that the Stockholders of the Amity <br />Mutual Irrigation Company do extend our most sincere sympathies to the <br />families and relatives oC Glen Krieg, C. L. (Lloyd) Rej710Ids, John McGrath <br />Thomas, and John Groenloh, who have become deceased the past year. <br />\\'e have enjo.red working with these, our members, as co- <br />workers for our system and in our community and their contributions to <br />their communities will be forever remembered. <br />Be it further resolved, that copies of this resolution shall be <br />given to the newspapers and sent to their families as a token of our <br />respect. U <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />"BE IT RESOLVED, that the Stockholders oCthe Amity Mutual <br />Irrigation Companj. do hereby restate and reaffirm their opposition to the <br />creation of a permanent pool in John Martin Reservoir, and do oppOse any <br />and all pending or proposed legislation calculated to create such a pool and <br />do authorize the Officers and Directors of the Company to cooperate fully <br />with other ditches, water users and other like minded parties, in opposing <br />said pool and said legislation.
