The water .supply for the 11,435 acreS of land in the Kirwin Irrigation
District is furnished by storage from Kirwin Reservoir and inflows from
the North Fork of the Solomon River.

The operation of Kirwin Dam and Reservoir affords many opportunities for
recreation, fishing, hunting, water sports, spawning of fish, and for
preservation of waterfowl species.

which is about $216,000 less than in 1974.

The Kirwin Irrigation District estimates tha.t 9,400 acres will be irri-
gated in 1976. The carryover storage in Kirv,!in Reservoir and the fore-
casted inflo;vS from the North Fork of the Solomon Ri V0r are expected to
be adequate to irrigate these lands.

A pilot Irrigation Management Services progr~n is expected to begin on
the Kirwin and Webster Irrigation Districts during the 1976 irrigation
season. This program will r;over approximately 2,500 acres \./ithin the
