Soils

The following is verbatim the report covering soils from investigations

that are J~st completed by the soils technicians.

1INE RIVER PBOJECT SOILS REPORT, SEPT. 23, 1941

Source of Soil Survey and Yield data

A reconnaissance land classification of the area within this proJect was

completed under direction ef Mr. E. R. Fogarty of the :Bureau of Reclama~

tion in December, 1933.

The land classification map will suffice for purposes of determining total

acreages of vario~s class lands. However, more deta.iled data are necessary

for final sabdivision plans. This is particularly important on lands

where some irrigation water has been available beca~se these areas are

all shoWn under the class "irrigated."

Yield data are from estimates by representatives of Oolorado Experiment

Station, Colorado Extension Service, Bureau of Reclamation, Farm Security

Administration and from farmers in the community.

Expected Yields

Table 1.
