<br />The present water source for Las Animas is a series of 4 wells 28 to 31 <br />feet deep in the Arkansas River alluvium. The winter-summer range of daily <br />water usage for 1969 was 0.5 - 3.3 MGD. The estimated capacity for this pres- <br />ent water system is 3 MGD. There is an existing elevated storage tank of <br />250,000 gallon capacity. Commercial and industrial establishments are metered, <br />but residential connections are unmetered. <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />18 <br />
