This former extension of Lateral 2 constituted <br />a high lateral of the CUlebra-Zastdale Canal by means <br />of which water could be brOUght from the Culebra River <br />and ~ut into the Costilla River at the point of intake <br />of Lateral 2 on the Costilla River. <br /> <br />By meana of these several former extensions <br />of the ACEl'lufa Madre, Manzanares ani! 1>ladrilea Ditches <br />and qy means of the former extension of Lateral 2, water <br />from both the Costilla and the Cnlebra Rivers was put <br />into the intake of Lateral 2.
