In 11ke manner, the J:levelopment company acquired <br />the control or :t'ue Eastdale !.and, Canal and Reservoil' <br />CompaQT (hel'einaftel' sometimes l'ererred to as the Eastdale <br />companr) which owned the Eastdale Reservoil'S and Canals. <br />:t'he compl'ehenslve pian was adopted by the <br />Development company, as above set out, to secure a,complete <br />utilization of the watel' resources of the Costilla Estates. <br />The construction of a large reservoir, known as the Sanchez <br />Reservoil', was begun about 1907 on one o.f the tl'ibutaries <br />of the Culebra River.
