There is a fall of nearly 5,000
feet in the Arkansas River. between the Fryingpan-Arkansas diversion and
the proposed Pueblo Reservoir. About 4,200 feet of this head will be
developed by authorized and proposed projects.

There is one minor-part FPC license for a project in the basin,
and one application for license covering two projects is pending. There
are two existil~ unlicensed projects. Potential power developments in-
clude 123,900 kilowatts of capacity in projects authorized for Federal
development, and 176,700 kw in unauthorized projects.

- 11-
