All figures rounded to be
presented to the nearest thousand dollars.
c. Based on construction cost trends composite index for the cost
level shown in footnote 2 (164) divided by the cost level of the E&R Center
report shown in footnote 1 (168), the index to adjust construction costs
for employment impact calculations is 0.9762.
d. 7.6 work-years of Government employment per million dollars is
purchased of which 30 percent ( 2.3 work-years) is local Federal Government
employees.
e. 2.8 work-years contractor on-site labor; therefore 5.1 work-years
of local labor is purchased per million dollars.
f. Contractor on-site jobs = contractor on-site labor work-years
times adjustment for 5-month construction season ( 2.40).
g. Adding "on-site Government employee work-years" to "contractor
on-site jobs" yields the total direct employment in terms of jobs.

All figures rounded to the nearest whole job or work-year. Adding
the full-time Government positions to the seasonal contractor labor
positions available during the 5-month construction season, yields the
total direct employment in terms of jobs.

35
