<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />... ."'1 ~ <br />Cl/~ ..... <br /> <br />BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH <br /> <br />Hank Meshorer <br /> <br />Hank Meshorer is counsel for Mobil Oil Corporation. He <br />received his Bachelor of Arts in 1963 from Clark University and <br />his J.D. in 1966 from Southern Methodist University, where he <br />was a contributing writer to the Journal of Science, Technology <br />and Law. Upon graduation, Mx. Meshoxer enlisted in the Marine <br />Corps, serving in Southeast Asia. Between 1970 and 1980, he <br />served as Senior Trial Attorney in the Land & Natural Resources <br />Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in both Washington, D.C. <br />and Denver, Colorado, where he represented the United States, <br />its agencies, and Indian tribes in both state and federal courts. <br />The cases handled by Mr. Meshorer involved some of the most <br />significant water and environmental issues of the decade. (e.g., <br />United States v. Denver, Colorado Supreme Court, Nos. 79 SA 99 <br />and 100; (Colorado general adjudications, Water Divisions 4, 5 <br />and 6); Foothills litigation; A-B Cattle Co., et al v. United <br />States, 589 P.2d 57 (1978); Denver, et al v. Ber land, et al, <br />517 F.Supp. 155 (Denver, Colorado 19 1); Northern Colorado Water <br />conservanc~ District v. United States, et al (Blue River Decree, <br />608 F.2d 4 2 (Denver, Colorado 1979)). During this period, <br />Mr. Meshorer received an LL.M in Natural Resources and Environ- <br />mental Law from George Washington University in 1974 and authored <br />two publication's: "Once Released Irrigation 'Waters -- Liability <br />and Litigation," 36 Montana Law Review 1 (1975) and "Oil Spills <br />at Sea Litigation," 10 Land and Natural Resources Journal 6 (972). <br />Mr; Meshorer has continued as a Special Assistant Attorney General <br />for the U.S. Department of Justice in its appeal of the Colorado <br />general water adjudications through the Colorado Supreme Court. <br />Since joining Mobil, Mr. Meshorer's practice remains centered in <br />the fields of water litigation, environmental and natural resources <br />matters. He expects to receive an M.S. in Law and Society fron <br />Denver University this year.
