The purrose of the Public Works rroject was stater to be <br /> <br />IIStudy of possible irrig9.tion anC' power cevelop::lents <br />in the State of Colorado, particularly in that for- <br />tion west of the Continental Divic.e." <br /> <br />Acting in cooperation with the Colorado State Planning <br /> <br />Commission, the Bureau of Reclrnn~tion has undertaken to investigate <br /> <br />those areas, already settled ane irrigated. where an acute need for <br /> <br />supplemental water supply exists; where the settlers on the yrcject <br /> <br />are by same form of organization and activity attempting to remedy <br /> <br />their difficulty; and where these settlers have formally expressed <br /> <br />their willingness, should the pr0ject be built, to repay its cost <br /> <br />under the terms of the National Reclamation Act. <br /> <br />Under the terns of Chapter 145, Colorado Session Law 1935, <br />. "- <br />the settlers formed The West Divide Creek FubllC Irrigation District <br /> <br />with Mr. R. E. Bolton, President and Mr. C. L. Fuller, Secretary. <br /> <br />This organization employed Mr. A.
