After the elements
simulating the transmissibility and storage have been adjusted, the riveLJ
recharge from applied water, evapotranspiration will be added and tested
in successive steps. This will require that at least one of our project
personnel will be in the Analog Model Unit in Phoenix almost continuously
for the next several weeks.

Test drilling in the Piceance Basin has been completed and a two-
week pumping test is being made at this time. About 30 test holes
totaling 4,434 feet were drilled in the alluvium of Piceance, Yellow, and
Roan Creeks. Field work on the project should be completed by the middle
of October. The two streamflow stations, Piceance Creek near Meeker and
Yellow Creek near Rangely, that were established for this project will be
discontinued at that time.

The following publications have been released since the last meeting
of the Colorado Water Conservation Board.

Ground water development in the Colorado High Plains, by A.
