It is low in heavy metals and dissolved solids. The <br />unusually high volumes given for several of 100 chemical eonst~uents usually occurred only In <br />a single sample, The reasons for Ihe occasional high results are not known. <br /> <br />It is noteworthy thaI this water quality analysis station is just above the mouth of the North Fork <br />of the Cache la Pouclre River, The North Fork is frequently a source of heavy sediment flows <br />that come from Greeley's Seaman Reservoir. Such inflows seriously deteriorate the water quality <br />for municipal and Industrial use. and high water treatment costs result from such sediment flows. <br /> <br />The City of Greeley Is currently taking steps to study this sediment inflow phenomenon and to <br />develop means of reducing ~. <br /> <br />4-9 <br />
