<br />precipitation generally occurreel earlJ in the month. These heavy
<br />rains resulted in aoove normal precipitation at scattered locations.
<br />The nJajority of s'Gations in the irri"ated areas of the system reported
<br />near' nonnal or beloH normal precipitation. Precipita'cion in the
<br />mountains above major reservoirs averaged above nonnal. Stations at
<br />Granby, Green llountain, and Lake cstes reeoi'ded 127, 192, 'lnd 169
<br />percent of normal rainfall. The a,rerage precipitat.ion at three of the
<br />inde,: stations at the higher elevations in the North Platte Basin "!as
<br />1(\9 percent. of normal, although precipitation in the plains above
<br />Selninoe Reservoir '.:as considerably beloH normal.

<br />remained beloo' nOl'1nal t-Jith one exception, Sin co antecedent precipitation
<br />in the drainage areas during the SUffi'ler b.as been deficient. a considerable
<br />amount of the precipitation undoubtedly 1-Jas used in recharging the soil
<br />moisture. Runoff above Green 11ountain, Lake Estes, Granby, and SBminoe
<br />Reserloirs was 103, 94, 76, and 7B percent of normal, respectively.
