<br /> <br />SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> <br />Q <br />':.J <br />:~) About 1.3 million acres of irrigateq and 0.8 million acres of <br />~ dryfarm land need treatment. This includes presently irrigated land <br />l\~ and new land needed for replacement of land lost to other uses. The <br />Q) installation cost of needed treatment is ,estimated at $370 million for <br />irrigated land and $5 million for dryfarm land. Installation cost of <br />needed treatment on forest land is estimated at $66 million, rangeland <br />$220 million and urban land $8 million for a total of about $670 million. <br />Total operation, maintenance and replacement costs are estimated at <br />$12 million in 1980, $23 million in 2000 .and $34 million in 2020. <br /> <br />Projected outputs in terms of crop values, grazing and timber, <br />and changes. in water and sediment yield, employment, gross regional <br />product and, income from both the Going Program and the OBE-ERS Program <br />are also described. <br /> <br /> <br />ii <br /> <br />- <br />
