<br />U~~ <br /> <br />-The floodplain within this area is the most developed on the upper <br />Colorado River: development and maintenance is expected to continue: <br />most levees are man-made. <br />-Of high biological importance for habitat restoration, <br />-Conclusion: high priority geographic area for floodplain <br />restoration and protection because of numerous opportunities for <br />habitat restoration: because floodplain development and maintenance <br />of floodplain structures is expected to continue; and because 87 <br />high biological importance, <br /> <br />4, Gunnison River <br />a, RM 0 to 50 (Colorado River ,-onfluence to Escalante State Wildlife <br />Area) MEDIUM PRIORITY <br />-Razorbacks: believed to have been historically common in this area; <br />and locally abundant, <br />-Squawfish: adults have been captured in this section, and numbers <br />should increase,as they cuntinue to use the Redlands fish ladder, <br />-532 acres of potential floodplain habitat; some floodplain <br />development, <br />-Mostly privately owned. <br />-Of medium biological importance for habitat restoration, <br />, -Conclusion: medium priority geographic area for floodplain <br />restoration and protection because of limited floodplain <br />development. localized opportunities for restoration.
