As of the end of the yoar <br />3.8 percent of the $676.643.119 had <br />been repaid. Revenues for repayment <br />came from all four storage units and <br />from eight of the 20 authorized par- <br />ticipating projects during the year. <br />When all authorized units and projects <br />arc completed, the CRSP reimbursable <br />Federal investment is estimated to lolal <br />approximately $1.9 billion. <br /> <br />Repayment of Power Inveslment <br />Fiscal Year 1972 was the ninth year <br />since electric power was first produced <br />by the CRSP. During the year, about 65 <br />percent of the planned ultimato 1,409.5 <br />megawalls of dependable generating <br />capacity was producing. Construction <br />of the power facilities of the Crystal fea- <br />ture of the Curecanli Storage Unit and <br />of the Bonneville Unit of the Central <br />Utah Participating Project is needlld to <br />provide full planned dependable <br />capacity. The reimbursable investment <br />in CRSP power facilities was <br />$464,415,528 at the endof Fiscal Yeal <br />1972. Of this amount, 5.3 percent had <br />been repaid. Rising labor and material <br />costs will require a power selling rate <br />increase. A revised CRSP power rate is <br />expected to remain competitive with <br />other power rates in the area. <br /> <br />Repayment of M&I Waler Investmenl <br />Repaymtmt revenue came from munici- <br />pal and industrilll water service pro- <br />vided from one storage unit and onll par- <br />ticipating project during Fiscal Year <br />1972. The extent of stich service is <br />expected to increase rapidly und"r <br />already tlxecuted contracts and options. <br />As of the end of the }lllar, the reimburs- <br />able municipal and industrial water <br />investment was $13,872,166 of which <br />3.2 percent had bHtm repaid. <br /> <br />Repaymenl of Irrigation Inveslment <br />Ten participating projects provided <br />irrigation water during the 1972 irriga- <br />tion season. During Fis('.al Year 1972, <br />irrigation repayment revenue was <br />received from SfWlln participating pro- <br />jects. Fiveof these projeds Weft! making <br />regular annual payments according to <br />respnctivtl repayment contracts. <br /> <br />The reimbursable irrigation investment <br />of the storage units and participating <br />projects totaled $198.335.425 as of the <br />end of the YI!ar of which 0.3 pllrcent <br />had been repaid. No repayment of thfl <br />irrigation investment of the storage <br />units is being made until the pOWer <br />investment is repaid. <br />
