During Fiscal Year 1972, the reimburs-
able Federal investment in the CRSP
increased from $649,533.169 to

$675.643.119. As of the end of the yoar
3.8 percent of the $676.643.119 had
been repaid. Revenues for repayment
came from all four storage units and
from eight of the 20 authorized par-
ticipating projects during the year.
When all authorized units and projects
arc completed, the CRSP reimbursable
Federal investment is estimated to lolal
approximately $1.9 billion.

Repayment of Power Inveslment
Fiscal Year 1972 was the ninth year
since electric power was first produced
by the CRSP. During the year, about 65
percent of the planned ultimato 1,409.5
megawalls of dependable generating
capacity was producing. Construction
of the power facilities of the Crystal fea-
ture of the Curecanli Storage Unit and
of the Bonneville Unit of the Central
Utah Participating Project is needlld to
provide full planned dependable
capacity. The reimbursable investment
in CRSP power facilities was
$464,415,528 at the endof Fiscal Yeal
1972. Of this amount, 5.3 percent had
been repaid. Rising labor and material
costs will require a power selling rate
increase. A revised CRSP power rate is
expected to remain competitive with
other power rates in the area.

Repayment of M&I Waler Investmenl
Repaymtmt revenue came from munici-
pal and industrilll water service pro-
vided from one storage unit and onll par-
ticipating project during Fiscal Year
1972. The extent of stich service is
expected to increase rapidly und"r
already tlxecuted contracts and options.
As of the end of the }lllar, the reimburs-
able municipal and industrial water
investment was $13,872,166 of which
3.2 percent had bHtm repaid.

Repaymenl of Irrigation Inveslment
Ten participating projects provided
irrigation water during the 1972 irriga-
tion season. During Fis('.al Year 1972,
irrigation repayment revenue was
received from SfWlln participating pro-
jects. Fiveof these projeds Weft! making
regular annual payments according to
respnctivtl repayment contracts.

The reimbursable irrigation investment
of the storage units and participating
projects totaled $198.335.425 as of the
end of the YI!ar of which 0.3 pllrcent
had been repaid. No repayment of thfl
irrigation investment of the storage
units is being made until the pOWer
investment is repaid.
