(Examples: alternative uses of water; <br />upland erosion and sediment control; reevaluation of an <br />authorized project, EPA Section 20B studies). <br /> <br />REGIONAL OR RIVER <br />BASIN PLANNING: Reconnaissance level evaluations of water and related land <br />resources for a selected region or river basin. (Examples: <br />Framework StUdies; Regional or River Basin level B StUdies; <br />Subregional analyses; and others). <br /> <br />IMPLEMENTATION <br />STUDIES: Preliminary or detailed investigations of the feasibility <br />of a program or project or the desinn. (Examples: review <br />or survey reports, feasibility studies, resource evaluations). <br /> <br />IMPLEMENTATION OF <br />PROJECTS AND <br />PROGRAMS: Actual construction of authorized projects or implementation <br />of authorized programs. (Examples: P.L. 566, assistance in <br />coordination, Fish and Wildlife Research programs). <br /> <br />To obtain a true portrait of the program funding reported by each State <br /> <br />and Flldl!lral agency and included in thh report, one must study tho program <br /> <br />information records, which list the individual program$ by State and Federal <br /> <br />aglilney. <br />
