As an independent regional commission, it also <br />provides a forum in which States meet with Federal agencies to conduct water and related land resources <br />planning. The Commission's Chairman is appointed by the President; its Vice-Chairman is elected from <br />among State members. <br /> <br />MRBC members are Colorado; Iowa; Kansas; Minnesota; Missouri; Montana; Nebraska; North Dakota; <br />South Dakota; Wyoming; Department of Agriculture; Department of the Army; Department of Commerce; <br />Department of Energy; Environmental Protection Agency; Department of Health, Education and Welfare; <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development; Department of the Interior; Department of Transportation; <br />Yellowstone River Compact Commission; Big Blue River Compact Administration.
