Mr, Reyher reported 59,555.25 shares or 63% of total shares are <br />represented today, which is the quorum necessary to conduct business today. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 11 :40 a.m. for lunch at SI. Mary's School. The <br />meeting was reconv~ned at 1 :00 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Litle r~ported Kent Reyher had a correction to the number of shares <br />represented today. ;rotal shares represented today is 60,267.25. <br /> <br />Chairman Litle tMen called for a report of the Resolutions Committee. Attorney <br />John Lefferdink pre$ented the following resolutions on behalf of the Resolutions <br />Committee: <br /> <br />1. WHEREAS, Joe Cline served as a Board member of the Fort Lyon Canal <br />Company for six years from 1986 to 1991, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during his tenure as a director, the Company completed many <br />projects which have greatly improved the water diversion and distribution <br />facilities of the ~ompany, <br /> <br />NOW THERE~ORE be it resolved by the stockholders of the Fort Lyon Canal <br />Company that ~oe Cline be congratulated for his term as a director of the <br />Company and t~at a copy of this resolution be presented to Joe Cline. <br /> <br />2. WHEREAS, Robert Reed served on the Board of Directors of The Fort Lyon <br />Canal Company from 1989 to 1991, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Robert Reed contributed much of his time and talent to the affairs <br />of the Company and was a valuable member of the board, <br /> <br />NOW THERE~ORE be it resolved by the stockholders of the Fort Lyon Canal <br />Company that Robert Reed be honored for his past service tothe Company and <br />that a copy of t~is resolution be presented to him. <br /> <br />3. WHEREAS, Gl~n Adams was an employee for The Fort Lyon Canal for nearly <br />18 years, until his retirement in 1992, and <br />WHEREAS, GI:en Adams served in the position of ditchrider for the La Junta- <br />Horsecreek DiVision, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Glen Adams was trusted and dedicated employee of the Company <br />and performed! his job well, <br /> <br />NOW THERE~ORE be it resolved by the shareholders of The Fort Lyon Canal <br />companythatplen Adams be recognized for his many years with the Company <br />and that a coPY of this resolution be presented to him. <br /> <br />4. WHEREAS, T~e Fort Lyon Canal Company has continuously existed as a non- <br />profit mutual irligation company who since the year 1897, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are currently over four hundred individual shareholders of <br />the Company ~ho irrigate land along the Fort Lyon canal, which canal is over <br />110 miles in length from La Junta to Lamar, Colorado, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a~ the stockholders well know, a great deal of cooperation and <br />unity is requir$d to successfully operate a water distribution system which <br />furnished water to Ninety-three Thousand acres of privately owned farmland, <br /> <br />NOW THERE~ORE, be it resolved that the stockholders use their reasonable <br />efforts to contiDue this special relationship and alliance which exists among <br />, <br /> <br />4 <br />
