August 1 through August 31; G5 c.f.s. <br />September 1 through September 30. <br />In maintainillO' the above minimum standa.rds, the project diversions <br />shall be regllJat,;"d, so far as is practicable, in such a Inanner that the <br />Nort.h Fork of the Fryingpan River, the Fryingpan River, and eadl <br />of the tributaries of thoRe streams, shall contribute to the residual <br />streamflows required by those minimwn standards quantities of wa.ter <br />in proportion to their natural cont.ributions. <br />(b) For storage in Ruedi Reservoir to the extent of its actual <br />capacity, which is to be not, less than 100,000 acre-feet. <br />(c) For 3,000 acre-feet. annually, to the extent t.hat it is availa.bl~ <br />in excess of (n) and (b) above, or such palt thereof as may be required, <br />to be cleli\"el'ed to the Twill Lakes Reservoir & Canal Co. in exchange <br />for equivalent releases from the headwaters of the Roaring Fork River <br />which would otherwise be diverted through ~llc.h Twin Lakes Reser- <br />voir & Canal Co. collection and di \'ersion system. <br />(d) For any other benefir.ial use in western Colorad,o in accordance <br />wit.h court. decree, but not. herein contemplated. <br />(2) The e,tfectuation of the above principles requires coucurrent <br />FryingpnnwArkansas project diversion and Ruedi Heservoir storage <br />to be accomplished in the manner following: The State e.ngineer <br />annually shall collect pertinent data., including information pertain- <br />ing to sllowl'ack "nd all other available e\'idence, and shall thereafter <br />80 di\"ide aud ltpportion the surface ruuoff as to achieve, as nearly a.s <br />possible, t.he foregoinfT division of wat.er and. t.he maximum of con- <br />current diversions fln~ storage. The di\'ersions herein contemplated <br />shall be on the basis of a water year he.reby defined "8 that interim of <br />October 1 through the following September 30. <br />10. For the protection of recreational values, including fishing, on <br />the Fryingpan Rive.r below Ruedi Reservoir, releases of water from <br />said reservoir, not t.o exceed the streanl inflow, shall be made so that <br />t.he st.reamflow immediately below the junction of the Fryingpan <br />River and Rocky Fork shall not be reduced below 39 c.f.s. from Novem- <br />ber 1 to April 30, and 110 c.f.s. from May 1 to October 30, or ,LS actual <br />expel'lellce or court dec.ree. shall hereafter dictate. <br />11. An appropriate written contract may be made whereby Twin <br />Lakes Reservoir & Canul Co. shall refrain from diverting w,lter <br />whenever the natural How of tile Roaring Fork HiveI' and its tribu. <br />taries shall be only sufficient to maillbtin H flo\\' equa.l to or less than <br />that required to mainta.in the recommended average flows in the Roar- <br />ing J'ork River immediately above its c.(Jlltluellce wit.h DiffieuJt.
