.

PART VII--SUPPORTING DATA

.

The su~porting data for this report are on file in the
Regional Office, Bureau of Reclamation, Denver, Colorado. On
file are consideraPle quantities of data concerning the hydrologic
and engineering investigations. In particular, is a detailed
presentation entitled "Geological Investigations" inclua.ed as
exhibit A in the data compiled for making the design ana. cost
estimate of the Idylwilde Dam and Reservoir. This presentation
is dated January 1965 and includes a description and the location
of fill materials for the dam.

Included with the supporting data are the details of sediment
surveys which were made on l8 of the existing irrigation reservoirs.
All of the reservoirs surveyed are located in the plains section of
the basin, and are owned and o:perated by private irrigation companies.
The purpose of these surveys was to provide a basis for estimating
the amount of water which coula. be conserved by transfe:t'ring the
storage to Idylwilde Reservoir. Conservation of water would have
been effected through reduction of losses from evaporation,
phreatophytic consumption, and operational wastes.

.

..

.

29
