Recreational <br /> <br /> <br />facilities will be provided and operated by the Forest Service at the <br /> <br /> <br />Soap Park Reservoir, Fisheries will be created at the Soap Park and <br /> <br /> <br />Gould Reservoirs, Certain minimum flows for fish will be maintained <br /> <br /> <br />in Soap and Curecanti Creeks, <br /> <br />Proposed Salinity Studies: <br /> <br /> <br />Study of value of additional lining in the present canal and lateral <br /> <br /> <br />system and the new 21 mile long Fruitland Canal, Present plans include <br /> <br /> <br />earth lining of about 50% of this new canal, <br /> <br />Study changing the proposed surface irrigation to sprinkler irrigation <br /> <br /> <br />especially in the new 'land areas to reduce salt pick up, <br /> <br />Study water quality in the present irrigation system and natural <br /> <br />drainage channels to get a better estimate of the effects of irrigation <br /> <br /> <br />on salinity under present conditions, <br /> <br />Study the possibility of reducing the new land area to reduce salinity <br />in the River System, <br /> <br />Study the return flows and drainage channels from the project area for <br /> <br /> <br />possible diversions to evaporation ponds to remove the salts from the <br /> <br /> <br />river system, <br /> <br /> <br />Revised the June 1967 Definite Plan Report to include changes in the <br /> <br /> <br />project plan that are found to be justified, <br />
