The CWCB is in the process of extending the modeling data sets from 1975 - 1991 to
1909 - 1996, This will provide a longer period ofrecord, which will help in the analysis
of water use impacts, General project tasks that were completed included converting to a
PC environment from a UNIX work station and updating the internet access data,

CROSS is in its fourth and final development year which will focus on a daily river
administration too\. The project has been funded for 4 years and will be finished in 1999,

N, Study Schedule:

The project started in 1993 and it is anticipated that the completion date will be sometime
in 1999, The project for Phase 3b is approximately 1 months behind schedule due to
changes in personnel and additional tasks, but should be completed by the end of January,
1999,

v, Relationship to RIPRAP:

This project will assess the legal and physical availability of water and compact
considerations for the Yampa River above and below the Little Snake River (1,A,3,b, and
I,D.3,b,), Little Snake River (LC,3,b,), White River (1,B,2,), Colorado River (mainstem),
(all tasks entitled "Assess Legal & Physical Availability of Water in Items LA 1 for the
Colorado River), Gunnison River (1,B,2,), Dolores River and the San Juan River,

VI, Accomplishments ofFY 98 Tasks and Deliverables:

For FY 98, the CROSS Project River Basin Models will be completed by January 1999,
The database to run these models is online and has been fuUy populated with data ranging
from structures diversion, climate data to water rights infonnation and spatial data, This
can be viewed on the internet at crdss, state,co,us.

I The list for task numbers regarding assessing the legal and physical availabiliiy of wat.er on the Colorado mainstem are
as follows:
1.A.2,a,(2)
I.A.2,b,(2)
I.A,2,c,(1)(a)ii)
1.A.2,c,(I)(b)ii)
I,A,2,c.(2)(b)
I.A,2,c,(3)(b)
l.A,2,c,(4)(b)

Colorado R, Rifle to Roller Dam
Colorado R, RoUer Dam to 15 Mile Reach
Colorado R, 15 Mile Reach
Colorado R.. for Flows up to the flow recommendation
Colorado R, 15 Mile Reach Irrigation Season Retwn Flows
Colorado R, 15 Mile Reach October through March Period
Colorado R, 15 Mile Reach April through June Period

2
