The purpose of this scoping meeting is threefold: to familiarize <br />you with the unit, to obtain your help in identifying both significant and <br />insignificant environmental issues, and to identify possible additional <br />alternatives for the remainder of the unit. <br /> <br />The alternatives presented this evening have been narrowed from a number <br />of salinity control measures analyzed since present planning studies began <br />in November 1981. Your comments and input at this meeting will aid us in <br />preparing an environmental statement which covers concerns and significant <br />issues. If you would like to make additional comments or if any concerns <br />or questions come to mind after this seoping session, I encourage you to <br />write to J. F.
