Arkansas River at Canon City - Water is diverted into the <br /> <br /> <br />Arkansas River Basin from the Colorado River Basin by <br /> <br /> <br />means of several structures located in the upper reaches <br /> <br /> <br />of the basin above the gage at Canon City, Most of this <br /> <br /> <br />transmountain water is delivered past the gage at Canon <br /> <br /> <br />City for use downstream of the gage, To determine the <br /> <br /> <br />native flows at the Canon City gage, it is necessary to <br /> <br /> <br />deduct the transmountain water from the gaged flows, <br /> <br /> <br />This adjustment can be accomplished by either one of two <br /> <br /> <br />methods: <br /> <br />A, The transrnountain diversions are recorded as <br /> <br />they are delivered into the Arkansas River Basin, <br />The gaged flows can be adjusted by subtracting the <br />recorded transmountain diversions, A correction is <br /> <br />necessary to account for transmountain diversions <br /> <br />, <br />
